While the bright green fruits can be eaten fresh, they are widely used in baking, in everything from pies to crumbles and more.

Granny Smith Apple Trees are prolific producers, so you’ll never be short on fresh apples to harvest. Granny Smith requires fewer chill hours to set fruit and tolerates heat better than other apples, growing in USDA Zones 5-9. It is also self-pollinating and ideal for small gardens, although it will perform better when cross-pollinated.

All apple varieties are grafted on M7 apple stock, a common dwarf type.
