Hoya carnosa ‘Freckles’ - 13cm pot

Hoya carnosa 'Freckles' is a charming vining plant with thick, waxy leaves speckled with silvery or creamy flecks, giving it a distinctive “freckled” appearance. A variation of the classic Hoya carnosa, this cultivar is both hardy and attractive, and over time, it may produce clusters of fragrant, star-shaped pink flowers. Its trailing growth habit and unique foliage make it a standout choice for hanging baskets or shelves.

Hoyas are a Plantsmith favourite due to their easy-going nature and diversity (not to mention some of the craziest names around). They are epiphytic plants, meaning they require a well-draining mix in a tighter pot to be happy; only repot in spring when it is bursting out of its current pot. Find a warm, bright spot for these plants and keep soil on the dryer side during winter and moist during warmer months.
