Black vine weevil larvae chew roots through the cool shoulders of the season, when most beneficial nematodes go dormant. Steinernema kraussei is built for that gap: it stays active in soil as cold as 41 degrees Fahrenheit, so it delivers reliable weevil control in early spring and late fall. Carrying its symbiotic bacterium, it kills each host within 48 to 72 hours and works in nurseries, greenhouses, landscapes, and potted plants.
